How is a raven like a writing desk?

I found the answer to Lewis Carroll's unanswerable riddle. "How is a raven like a writing desk?" My daughter's new dresser has both!

 This is the first piece of furniture I've refinished, but it won't be the last - both of my girls can look forward to several pieces of their mismatched furniture getting repainted in coming months.

I've been working on this thing since last fall, and I finally finished it. This is a dusty old dresser that I bought on Craigslist. It had been living outside for quite a while before I got there. It needed some love, even if just to get rid of the musty old smell. I thought the lady was selling it in spite of the poorly-painted ivy, but realized later into our transaction that she was actually proud of it.

So I repainted it white and put a raven on the front. I spray painted the original hardware black, and then lost them. So until the originals show up again, all the drawer pulls have been replaced with sparkly blue glass knobs.

I painted the inside of the drawers and the desk with a glossy black.
